Dr. Carolina Velasquez traveled to Vietnam to conduct clinical training and launch the TruScreen Pilot Study, being conducted out of Hanoi Gynaecology and Obstetrics Hospital. The Pilot Study, being overseen by the Ministry of Health, aims to have TruScreen included as the primary screening method for cervical cancer.
11 Gynecologists were trained, screening a total of 254 women over 5 days. Local media coverage of the launch (HanoiTV) included interviews with patients, lead researcher, and Dr. Velasquez.
The pilot study will officially start on 12 August 2019 and will go on to screen a total of 1,000 women, under the guidance of our local distribution team and the TruScreen Medical Advisory Committee.
